To our Customers, Partners, Family and Friends,
Following the direction of the State of New York and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, LAFCO will be closing our Brooklyn, NY Warehouse effective March 20 temporarily suspending all shipping operations. Any orders placed with LAFCO will be held until our warehouse is able to re-open.
In these unprecedented times we are prioritizing the safety and welfare of our employees, customers and our community. Our office staff is all working remotely from the safety of their homes. Our customer service team will be online and able to answer calls and emails Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm ET and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org and @lafco. All of our employees are continuing to receive full salary and benefits.
Times like these are when it is most crucial to support those in need within our community. Yesterday we were able to donate 400 bars of LAFCO soap to the Bowery Mission, a local organization fighting homelessness, hunger & poverty, to help ensure that those most vulnerable have access to the necessities to stay safe during this crisis.
As you know this is a fluid situation changing day-by-day and hour-by-hour. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to keep our employees and community safe. We know that the best way for things to improve is to heed the recommendations of the CDC, WHO and local authorities and urge every single one of us to do so.
Business continuity is a major priority for us as well. We have been preparing stock levels to deliver the products you need with minimal delay—as soon as we are able to reopen. We have a contingency plan that ensures safety, minimizes disruption, and provides a structure for resumption of normal operations and services at the safest and earliest possible time. And we are in constant contact with our suppliers in an effort to manage all potential issues
Our business was founded in 1992 so this is not the first crisis LAFCO has endured – and we know it is unlikely to be the last. After 9/11 our office and warehouse were closed since we were located just a few blocks from the World Trade Center. From this experience and others, we know how hard this will be but we also know that we will persevere and that this crisis too shall pass. In the meantime please stay safe and care for one another.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
