LABDANUM ABSOLUTE
Origin: Spain

Labdanum absolute (Cistus ladanifer) is a rich brown resin harvested from the rockrose shrub. Described as “the sweetest-scented of all substances” by early perfumers, its connection to perfumery dates to ancient Egypt when it was used in ceremonial incense. Widely used today to create the scent of amber, labdanum’s highly complex fragrance profile features notes of oak, sycamore, leather, moss, and fossilized amber.

  • How to Use

    Optimal Experience
    Place the diffuser glass on a non-porous or non-damageable surface. Pour the fragrance
    oil into the glass vessel and immerse the reeds. Absolute diffusers are designed for filling large spaces. For smaller spaces, use five reeds to start and add more reeds to create a stronger fragrance. Allow up to 48 hours for the fragrance to diffuse. Flip the reeds to increase fragrance intensity taking care that no oil leaks or drips from the reeds.

    Warning:
    If the diffuser oil spills, it must be cleaned immediately. Oils and resins can cause damage
    to finishes and fabrics. Do not consume the oil, it may be harmful or fatal if ingested. The
    solution is not meant for use on skin. Keep out of reach from children and pets and away
    from heat and open flames. Do not light the reeds. The reed diffuser oil is not developed
    for use in water-based aromatherapy diffusers or humidifiers and can damage your devices.
